Brad Kerr, age 39, formerly of New York City, now resides in Hamilton, N,Y. Several years ago, he experienced some profound changes that prompted him to step back and take a good hard look at where he was in his life. What Kerr saw motivated him to contemplate taking a year off, sort of a gap year, to reevaluate exactly what he wanted and needed.

Phyllis Baldwin, formerly of Bremen and Damariscotta, died in Vermont on Jan. 19, 2020, in the presence of her daughter, after a long illness precipitated by a series of strokes.

William “Bill” Alton Ames Sr., 77, of Jefferson, passed away on the evening of Jan. 6, 2020, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Damariscotta on Sept. 23, 1942, the son of Samuel H. and Dorothy (Smith) Ames.

The Central Lincoln County YMCA in Damariscotta recently announced that its CEO, Meagan Hamblett, has been hired as the executive director for the YMCA Alliances of Maine and New Hampshire/Vermont. Hamblett’s last day at the CLC YMCA is Friday, Jan. 31.

Patricia E. Fossett, 89, of Round Pond, passed away on the evening of Jan. 20, 2020 at Round Pond Green. Born on Aug. 19, 1930, she was the wife of Gordon Fossett, mother of Sue, and grandmother to Sophia.
