Eileen Diann Brewer Barter, born Feb. 9, 1954, in Trenton, N.J. to Edwin and Lorraine Brewer, passed away peacefully with her loving husband and children by her side on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor.

The new date for the Patriotic club of Bremen’s Country Fair is Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Bremen Town House, Route 32, next to the Bremen fire station.

It has been three years since Great Salt Bay Community School has held its traditional welcome back dinner and open house for students, families, teachers, and staff. On Sept. 15 the doors were flung open once again and people poured into the school!

For those who might not have been aware of what was happening, the cacophony of sirens and blaring horns in the Twin Villages the evening of Friday, Sept. 23 might have been cause for alarm. Thankfully, the hubbub was not the result of an emergency, but rather the return of Lincoln Academy’s homecoming parade.
