Medomak Valley boys soccer team defended their Panther turf for a 1-0 win over Oceanside on Oct. 2. After a scoreless first half, Addison Mellor took advantage on a penalty kick to score the winning goal with 17 minutes remaining. The Panthers dominated play in the physical match-up.

The Black Bears of Maranacook defeated Lincoln Academy 1-0 on Sat., Oct. 2 in the Eagles nest. After a scoreless first half, Bears player Eric Vining put in a rebounded shot off Eagle keeper Isaac Thompson for the game winner.
Wolverines Soccer Team Pick Up First Win of the Season Wiscasse-Boothbay 6 - Dirigo 1
Wiscasset-Boothbay girls soccer team picked up their first win of the season, 6-1 on Sept 29 in the Wolverines den. Falyn Harriman netted five goals and Anna Gosselin one. Katy Nein had two assists and Harriman one. Dirigo scored on a first half penalty kick by Destiny Jackson.
Panthers Win Battle of the Big Cats Medomak 8 - Belfast 1
Medomak Valley boys soccer team won the battle of the big cats, 8-1 over visiting Belfast on Sept. 28. Addison Mellor and Zan Nguyen scored two goals each and Mo Ngido, Will Cheesman, Noah Ludwig and Jaiden Starr one each. Visal Mellor added two assists and Ngido, Slavik Moody, Jake Bickmore and Nevan Power one each. Zepherin Leppanen scored for Belfast.
Lincoln Academy Game Changes field hockey home Monday, Sept. 27
Due to field conditions at Gardiner, Lincoln Academy will host the field hockey game vs. Gardiner on Monday, Sept. 27. Game time is 5:30 p.m. LA will still wear the away jersey, and Gardiner will wear the home jerseys.

Lincoln Academy girls cross country team ran to victory at their Homecoming meet on Sept. 23. The Lady Eagles had four runners in the top 10, including Audrey Hufnagel, Dylan Burmeister, Grace Houghton and Clara Goltz. Lincoln boys finished third.

Newcastle summer resident Alison Hayden swam the length of the Damariscotta River on Saturday, Aug. 21, without fanfare. She left her family’s home on Glidden Street in Newcastle a little after noon and arrived at the South Bristol Coop at 6:15 p.m.
Daigle Breaks Medomak Valley Course Record Lincoln boys win with tie breaker
Medomak Valley senior Connor Daigle broke the school cross country course record in 15:52.76 at the Panthers Homecoming meet on Sept. 16. Daigle beat nearest competitor Jacob Pelletier (17:07.15) of Cony by over a minute.
LA Boys Soccer Lose in Overtime Gardiner 2 - Lincoln 1
Gardiner robbed the Eagles nest for a 2-1 overtime win on Sept. 16. After a scoreless first half, Casey Duncan scored on a Nick Archer back pass two minutes into the second half. Casey Paul knotted the score for Gardiner on a Braden Dorogi corner kick. Cam Lassalle scored the game winner for the Tigers in overtime on a mad scramble in front of Lincoln Academy’s net.
