The Lady Eagles defeated Richmond 42-32 on the road on Jan. 26 to win their season opener. Lincoln netted 21 points in the second quarter to take the lead for good. The Eagles were led by Maddy York with 12 points, Paige Lafrenaye 10 and Reegan Dunican 9. Richmond was led by M. Carver with 14 points.

Medomak Valley girls basketball team rallied for 20 points in the third quarter to put the game away early on Jan. 26 in the Panthers den. The Lady Panthers led 15-10, 31-27 and 71-43 at the quarters.
LA Boys Snap 18-Game Losing Streak Lincoln 64 - Richmond 42
Lincoln Academy boys basketball team opened their season with a 64-42 win over Richmond in the Eagles nest on Jan. 26. The win snaps an 18-game losing streak for the Eagles.
Medomak Boys Improve to 3-0 Medomak 54 - Boothbay 33
Medomak Valley boys basket ball team defeated Boothbay 53-33 in the Seahawk nest on Jan. 26. Three Panther players scored in double figures in the win, Patrick McKinney 11, Trevor Brown 11 and Jake Bickmore 10. Boothbay was led by Ben Pearce with 12.
Lincoln Academy Fields Young Boys Basketball Team
With just one senior, Lincoln Academy is fielding a young boys basketball team this season. The Eagles return just four players from a team that went winless in 2019-20.
Medomak Girls Pick up First Win of the Season Medomak 45 - Belfast 17
Medomak Valley girls basketball team picked up their first win of the season on Jan. 19 on their home court in Waldoboro. Belfast scored the first four points of the ball game. The Lady Panthers rattled off the next 15 straight points to put the game away early. Medomak led 29-7 at the half and 39-9 at the end of three.
Medomak Boys Improve to 2-0 Medomak 63 - Belfast 53
Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Belfast 63-53 in the Lions den on Jan. 19. The Panthers led 17-15 at the quarter, before opening up a 31-25 lead at the half, then holding on for their second win of the season.
Panthers Pounce on Oceanside Medomak 59 - Oceanside 48
Medomak Valley boys basketball team opened their season with a 59-48 win at Oceanside on Jan. 15. The Panthers took the lead for good in the first quarter and rolled to a 16-10 first quarter lead, and then build an 18 point lead by the half to put the game away early. The second half turned into a foul shooting contest early with Medomak sinking 13 of 23 and Oceanside 11 of 19.
Mariners Sail Past Lady Panthers Oceanside 60 - Medomak 51
Oceanside girls basketball team defeated Medomak Valley 60-51 in the Panthers den on Jan. 15. The Mariners used the three point bomb and back door cuts to take a 27 point lead in the third quarter. Medomak rallied with a 20-2 run over two periods to cut the lead to nine with five minutes to play.
Massasoit Engine Co. Restores 1898 Hose Reel
The Massasoit Engine Co., of Damariscotta, recently restored its 1898 Rumsey hose reel. The fire company was not expecting it to be ready until May 2021, but restoration work was completed early, and the company picked it up three days before Christmas.
Medomak Cancels Games with Lincoln Academy
Medomak Valley athletic director Matt Lash announced that the school has cancelled all athletic events for Mon., Oct. 26, due to a possible exposure of an athlete to COVID-19.
Lincoln Boys Sink Mariners Lincoln 5 - Oceanside 0
Lincoln Academy boys soccer team shut out Oceanside 5-0 on Oct. 22 in Thomaston. Maddox Tilas netted two goals and Jake Masters, Levi Farrin and Ben Sawyer one each.
Lady Panthers Shut Out Morse While Playing a Man Down Medomak 4 - Morse 0
Medomak Valley girls soccer team defeated Morse 4-0 in Bath on Oct. 24. The Lady Panthers played a man down for 68 minutes of play, after Stephanie Morse was red carded for language after getting knocked to the ground twice.
