St. Andrews Urgent Care Center Reopens May 19
LincolnHealth has announced St. Andrews Urgent Care Center will reopen Wednesday, May 19. The center’s hours will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, with the exception of Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day, when the center will be closed.
Diaper Bank Adds New Distribution Sites
The Ecumenical Diaper Bank has been weathering this year of changes thanks to the flexibility and generosity of the community. Though struggling with aspects of the pandemic, the weekly distribution of diapers has continued.

Veterans’ Dental Network Launches May 15
Gov. Janet Mills recently announced the formation of the Maine Veterans’ Dental Network in partnership with Northeast Delta Dental, participating dental clinics, and federally qualified health centers. The network will provide dental services to Maine’s veterans who otherwise could not afford them and will officially launch on May 15.

The Lincoln Home Shares Appetizer Recipe
Ingrid Gundersen is part of the culinary team at The Lincoln Home. She started cooking as soon as she was able to hold a spoon, helping her mother and grandmother cook whenever they would let her. Gundersen got her first cooking job at 16 and then attended Southern Maine Community College’s culinary arts program. She has been working in the culinary industry for 20 years.

Historical Association Releases New Booklets
The Lincoln County Historical Association works with local schools to advance the historical heritage of Lincoln County and Maine. In this effort, the organization’s education director has developed two booklets that provide educators and their students with an overview of historical data in an interdisciplinary manner: “Settlement during the War Years — 17th & 18th Century Challenges in MidCoast Maine,” and “The 1800s — A Century of Highs and Lows.”
Healthy Kids Plants Pinwheel Gardens for Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and Healthy Kids has planted pinwheel gardens all over Lincoln County to remind people how important children.
