The Edgecomb Community Church Mission Committee is holding a sub sale on Saturday, Feb. 11. Ham and cheese with assorted vegetables on a 6-inch sub roll will be offered along with a bag of chips, soda or water, and a Valentine’s Day cookie, all for a $10 donation.

Midcoast Conservancy will offer a full moon hike (or snowshoe, if there is snow on the ground) at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson on Sunday, Feb. 5 from 5-7 p.m. Hikers can enjoy a crisp evening illuminated by the glow of the Snow Moon, so named for February’s typically cold, snowy weather in North America, and discover a new way of being in the woods.

The Waldoboro American Legion, Charles C. Lilly Post 149 will once again host the popular “soup suppah.” The suppah will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, at the lower level of the post at 181 Jefferson St. in Waldoboro.

Great Salt Bay School eighth graders will hold an ice fishing derby on Sunday, Feb. 12 to raise funds for their school trip. The derby will be open to all Lincoln County waters. Weigh-ins will be held from 3-5 p.m. at GSB.

On Saturday, Dec. 31, the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce and Information Bureau will host a New Year’s Eve event for the “Young at Heart”’ at The American Legion located at 527 Main St., in Damariscotta. The event begins at 5 p.m. and the ball drops at 9 p.m.

Santa will come to Waldoboro Sunday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. He will be escorted by a parade of fire trucks to the intersection of Main and Jefferson streets.
