The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition will be holding its third annual “Ride-4-Recovery” on Saturday, Sept. 19. The open-to-all Rockland to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse motorcycle ride will begin at Fisher Engineering at 50 Gordon Drive in Rockland. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with “kickstands up” at 10 a.m. Registration has been discounted this year to $10 so that everyone is able to attend.

WW&F Railway Opens for Season

Lobster Takeout at Church
Following the success of the recent takeout turkey supper, the People’s United Methodist Church in Union will be offering a takeout lobster roll supper on Friday, July 17. The menu will consist of a lobster roll prepared with fresh Maine lobster, potato chips, a pickle, and for dessert, the official “State of Maine Treat”—a homemade Whoopie Pie. The meal will be prepared by a limited number of masked and gloved cooks in the church kitchen under clean and sanitary conditions.
Annual Luncheon is Takeout
The Southport United Methodist Women are holding a modified version of their annual country fair and lobster roll luncheon on July 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year’s luncheon will be held in the Southport United Methodist Church parking lot, and the rolls will be served as takeout. There will be no attic treasures, books, or precious past, so the group is not accepting donations this year.
