John N. Nice, 75, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at home. John was born in Sellersville, Pa., son to the late Joseph and Dorothy Nice. John married his college sweetheart, Elizabeth Olson, on July 12, 1969. They moved to Maine in 1972, where John enjoyed a long career in sporting good sales and as part owner of their souvenir business. With the gift of hospitality, John and Liz were well known for opening their home to any in need.

Douglas E. Clark, 71, passed away at his home in Bristol, on March 29, 2023. Born on September 5, 1951 in Clinton, Mass., he was the son of Frank and Marjorie (Coolidge) Clark.

R. Niven Damon, a treasured husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023, after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born in Hartford, Conn., on June 25, 1944, and grew up in Broad Brook, Conn. He graduated from Kents Hill in 1962 and attended the University of Connecticut.

Kelly Hatch, 64, of Bath, passed away at the MidCoast Hospital in Brunswick, on the morning of March 20, 2023, after a period of declining health. Born in Damariscotta on September 27, 1958, she was the daughter of Gary Hatch and Laurel “Poppy” Truchon.

Barbara M. Wade, 80, of Damariscotta, went home to be with the Lord on the afternoon of March 24, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family.

Robert Cain, 84, of Newcastle, passed away unexpectedly at home on the evening of March 19, 2023.

Carolyn E. Boyd Ouellette, 84, of Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta, passed away on the morning of March 21, 2023, after a period of declining health.

Ken Chasse passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2023, leaving this earth too soon at the age of 64.

Sylvia M. Harkins, 84, of Waldoboro, died on Monday morning, March 13, 2023, at Woodlands of Rockland. She was born July 29, 1938 in Washington, a daughter of the late Harlan and Evelyn (Sukeforth) Sidelinger.

Sandra J Melanson (Murphy), age 81, passed away on March 22, 2023, with her beloved family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Jean Murphy, of Brighton, Mass., and is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob Melanson, of Damariscotta.

Earl G. Creamer, 91, of Washington, passed away on March 22, 2023, at the Sussman House in Rockport with his family by his side.

George Bernard Fahey was born on May 19, 1930 in Lewiston, and raised in Portland. He graduated from Deering High School in 1948 and belonged to the Lake Marine High School Fraternity.

Elaine Merrill Grover, 84, passed away on March 18, 2023, at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.

Donald “Scott” Lessard, 60, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Maine Medical Center following complications of a heart attack.
