Chris Sproul passed away peacefully on Dec. 9, 2022 just two weeks before her 86th birthday. Born Dec. 23, 1936 to Alton and Lotta Hills Dickinson, she lived her entire life in Boothbay, graduating from Boothbay Harbor High School in 1955. She married Jim Sproul in 1956 and together they raised their children, Mike and Jackie.

Virginia Howes White “Mrs. Gardner W.,” a proper-yet-independent Bostonian woman, who had lived in the house of her birth for 100 years, began the journey towards her next adventure on Dec. 14, 2022. At the time of her passing, Mrs. White was enjoying the beauty of this year’s newly arrived Christmas tree, artfully decorated with a collection of ornaments gathered across the decades.

Randall Clark Lee, 75, peacefully passed away on Dec. 19, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born Dec. 26, 1946 in Damariscotta, he was the second of four children born to Clarence and Frances (Cook) Lee.

Ernest Thorne Thompson Jr., aka “Tommy Thompson,” 94, of Damariscotta, passed away at his home on Dec. 25, 2022. He was born in South Bend, Ind. on Nov. 9, 1928, the only child of Ernest T. Thompson Sr., and Florence M. Thompson.

Valarie took an easy breath and danced into a beautiful, heavenly garden greeted by her Savior Jesus Christ, her boy, Caleb, her daddy, Tom and countless other souls she couldn’t wait to see again. She slipped peacefully from this world in the arms of her loved ones.

Steven P. Capone, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 22, 2022 at Penbay Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Steven was born on Sept. 30, 1977 in North Tarrytown, N.Y. the son of Frank and Karin (Laustsen) Capone.

Lois F. Piper, 86, of Chamberlain, passed away peacefully on Dec. 11, 2022 at St. John Paul II, Danbury, Conn.

Tina passed away peacefully on Dec. 14, 2022, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Tina loved to spend time with her family and friends, however, it could easily be said that there was nothing she loved more in this world than her three grandchildren.

Verna Elizabeth Lorentzen Black, age 99, of Edgecomb, quietly passed away on Dec. 16, 2022. Up until a few months ago, Verna had enjoyed reasonably good mobility and health.

Alisa (Lisa) Gibbs, 58, of Burnham, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.

Earl Robert Lemieux, 90, of Whitefield, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.

Robert Johnson “Bob”, 91, of Edgecomb, passed away peacefully at the Sussman House in Rockport, on the evening of Dec. 8, 2022. Bob was born in Manchester, N.H. on Aug. 23, 1931 and lived there until he joined the U.S. Army in 1952.

Joel Gregory Foster, 39, died Dec. 15, 2022 at his home in Wiscasset. Joel was born Oct. 14, 1983 in Lebanon, N.H. to Rev. Gregory L. Foster and Carolyn Messa Foster.

Peter Nils Johansson, 59, of Birch Point Road, Wiscasset, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, at his residence.
