Yvonne R. Dietrich, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully in the presence of her friends on July 25, 2024, at the age of 85. She had resided at The Lincoln Home in Newcastle over the past five years, where she made many friends with other residents and staff. Bun was under the care of Beacon Hospice at the time of her death.

Alexander “Alex” J. Gnidziejko, 80, of Ipswich, Mass., formerly of Camden, and New York City, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at his home after a long battle with Lewy Body Parkinson’s Disease. He was the son of the late Alexander S. and Edna Gnidziejko. Alex graduated from and briefly taught at the School of Visual Arts in NYC.

Edmund Francis Becker Jr., 88, of Falmouth, died peacefully at home on July 22, 2024 from complications of ALS. He was born in Washington, D.C. on April 6, 1936, the eldest of four sons, to Edward F. Becker Sr., of Wadesville, Ind., and Ann Ebbeson Becker, of Bangor.

George Hudson Crane, 84, passed away July 6, 2024, while traveling on a cruise. He was at port in Norway at the time of his passing. He was born in Waldoboro on Feb. 28, 1940, to John J. Crane II and Madelene Eugley Crane. George grew up in Waldoboro and graduated from Waldoboro High School in the class of 1958. He graduated from Bentley College in the class of 1962. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1962 to 1964.

Barbara M. Walton, 72, passed away peacefully July 24, 2024, at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta. Barbara was born May 29, 1952 in Boothbay Harbor, to Willard and Gertrude (Warren) Muise. Barbara grew up in Boothbay Harbor and graduated from Boothbay Region High School in the class of 1970. She attended the art program at the University of Maine at Augusta, graduating in the class of 1973. Barbara met her eventual husband, Allan Walton, while in school in Augusta.
