Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Maranacook 77-49 on Feb. 22 in a South Class B Regional semi-final game at the Portland Expo. With the win, the Panthers advance to the South B Regional championship game, to be held on Friday, Feb. 25 at 3:45 p.m.

Mt.Abram defeated Boothbay Region 87-58 in a South Class C quarter-final game at the Augusta Civic Center on Feb. 21.

Lincoln Academy sophomore Jayden Lafrenaye won the state Class B 145-pound division championship at Morse High School on Feb. 19.

Oceanside girls basketball team defeated Medomak Valley 60-28 in a South Class C quarter-final game on Feb. 19 at the Expo Center in Portland.

Spruce Mountain girls basketball team defeated Lincoln Academy 44-42 in a South Class B quarter-final match-up at the Portland Expo on Feb. 19. The Phoenix sank 23 of 31 foul shot to squeak out a two point win. The Eagles connected at the foul line for 16 of 24.

Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Lisbon 60-47 in a South Class B quarter-final match-up at the Portland Expo on Feb. 18.

Seventh seed Medomak Valley girls basketball team send 10th ranked Mt.Valley packing 47-34 in a South Class B preliminary game on Feb. 16 in Waldoboro.

Sixth seed Lincoln Academy girls basketball team defeated 11th ranked Lake Region 49-40 on Feb. 16 in a South Class C preliminary game in the Eagles nest. The Lady Eagles will take on third seed Spruce Mountain in a South B quarterfinal game on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 9 a.m. at the Portland Expo.

Fourth seed Medomak defeated 13th seed Oak Hill 79-43 in a South Class B preliminary match-up on Feb. 15 in the Panthers’ den.

Hope boys and girls basketball teams claimed Busline League Small School Division championships on Feb. 14 at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast.
