David E. Raymond, 82, sculptor, painter, poet, writer, professor, and very funny guy, died in the early morning of Sept. 30, 2024, at his home in Damariscotta, with his wife, Kim, by his side, and his cat, Mack, on his lap.

Carol Ann Dunning was born on April 18, 1935 in Shrewsbury, Mass. and died of natural causes at age 89 in Damariscotta, on Sept. 11, 2024.

Carolyn P. Thompson, of Damariscotta, passed away on the afternoon of Oct. 8, 2024, at the age of 91, with her daughters by her side.

Alyson (Peddie) Squeglia, 33, of Rockwood, passed away on Oct. 12, 2024, following a brief illness. Alyson was born on Jan. 24, 1991, in Damariscotta, the daughter of William A. Peddie and Teresa (Wincapaw) Solmitz.

James “Jim” Hall, a beloved lifelong resident of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully on Oct. 14, at the age of 79. Known for his tireless dedication to others, Jim’s life was defined by love of his family and friends, community service, and a deep love for Damariscotta and surrounding communities.

Jerry Miller, 57, of Hamberg, Ark. passed away at home in the early hours of Oct. 10 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Jerry enjoyed the outdoors at his family’s home on Lake Pemaquid in Nobleboro, and was a proud graduate of Lincoln Academy class of 1984.

Clarence “Buck” B. Smith Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 14. Born at West Point (Highland Falls, N.Y.) on Sept. 4, 1949, Buck entered this world with his eyes wide open, confidence in himself along with a lifelong passion for learning.
