Carol Ann Foster-Robbins, 79, of Waldoboro and Yarmouth, passed away on Aug. 7, 2024, at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth. Carol was born in Damariscotta on June 16, 1945, to Lloyd Carlton Foster and Pauline “Polly” (Eugley) Foster. Carol grew up in Waldoboro and attended local schools.

Good Things Grand Opening
The grand opening of Good Things Thrift and Craft Shop’s much anticipated upstairs room is Thursday, Aug. 15. The shop has a selection of quilting fabric, wool, yarn, beads, and crafting supplies; the majority of which was donated from the estate of the late Claire Wingren. The shop also carries toys, linens and books, and more.
Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame Announces 2024 Inductees
The Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame has announced seven individuals will be inducted in Class for 2024. The seven will be honored at the 17th annual induction banquet on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Rockland Elks Lodge. The awards banquet starts at 5 p.m.
At the Speedway Dan Mckeage, Jr. Has Big Night At Wiscasset Speedway
Following a couple of busy weeks at the track, Wiscasset Speedway slowed the pace this weekend as they hosted a standard group 2 racing program. The night included four divisions of racing fun, featuring the Portland Glass Strictly Streets, T&L Automotive Modifieds, Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Models, and the Chestnut Auto Roadrunners.

Thursday mornings my coworker and I head to Twin Villages Food Bank Farm on Belvedere Road in Damariscotta for a few hours of work. We are greeted by Sara Cawthon who started this farm with her partner, Megan Taft, in the Salt Bay Farm fields donated by Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust.
