David Frank Hinds, 69, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, at his home in Damariscotta. He was born to George Lafayette Hinds and Helen Lucille Dees Hinds in Houston, Texas on Feb. 11, 1954.

David McLeod Rand, the third of four sons, was born to Carolyn and Alvas Rand on Dec. 21, 1934. He and his brothers Bud, Dick, and Tom were a lively bunch who relished in a shared sense of fun and humor. He had a very special relationship with his brother, Tom, who was 12 years his junior.

Penny graduated from Laconia High School, attended Lake Erie College, and graduated from Vermont College with a degree in landscape design. She lived in Central and Midcoast Maine.
