Frank P. King, 97, of Nobleboro, passed away at home on the morning of July 8, 2025. Born in Utica, N.Y. on Nov. 19, 1927, he was orphaned and at two was adopted by Anthony and Bhula King. He went on to have five siblings (all deceased), Anthony, Dorothy, Thomas, Donald, and Caroline.

The North Nobleboro Community Association is pleased to announce North Nobleboro Day festivities will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9 at the community grounds at 554 Upper East Pond Road. Lila Blechman, formerly Lila Hanson, nee Lila Lucy Bullock, died peacefully on June 21, 2025. Lila was born Oct. 29, 1921 to Dorothy Julia Smith and Earl Clayton Bullock in the family farmhouse in Underhill Center, Vt. She was the third of seven children and the last of her generation.

Janice O’Brien
Janice O’Brien died on Dec. 31, 2024 at her home in Chamblee, Ga. surrounded by love and family and listening to piano arrangements of her favorite church hymns. Janice was raised in Brockton, Mass. with her elder brother, James. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1958 and went on to earn a Master of Library Science from Case Western University.
