Jean Chase, 87, of Bristol, passed away late in the evening of June 26, 2025. Born on Nov. 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Tilson and Sylvia (Rice) Eugley.

Gisele Levesque St. Pierre, 88, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta on June 26, 2025. She was born on July 1, 1936 in Saint Louis-du-Ha! Ha!, Quebec, the daughter of Antoine and Mathilda Boucher Levesque. Gisele grew up in Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha!, attending local schools.

It’s A Go For The Annual St. Philip’s Strawberry Festival

Things are heating up at St. Philip’s Church in Wiscasset as volunteers work on final plans for the 71st annual Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28. Everything from hand-crafted jewelry to one-of-a-kind wood turned bowls to silk screened gear to jams and jellies to handcrafted baskets can be found at tables around the grounds.

Midcoast Bridge Scores

Due to The Lincoln Home needing the space where bridge is normally held, three tables were played in a private home on Thursday, June 19. The three top scorers were Jan Kemper, of Bremen, Gerry Gawalt, of New Harbor, and Larry Varn, of Damariscotta.

Multi-County Amateur Radio Field Day in Waldoboro

The Pen Bay Amateur Radio Club (W1PBR) and the Lincoln County Amateur Radio Club (K1LX) are joining forces for ARRL Field Day 2025, the largest annual amateur radio operating event in North America. This event will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro.
