The Saltwater Artists Gallery is holding a silent auction with the total proceeds to go to the Seagull Shop and Restaurant in New Harbor which burned down last September.
Grand Opening Celebration at Blanchard’s Creamery

On the sunny afternoon of Friday, July 16, six children paraded through the Merry Barn in Edgecomb juggling colorful scarves to the beat of an old-fashioned circus song. Their families watched from their seats with astonished expressions, wondering how their child learned to juggle in less than a week.

Annual Vintage Car Show Set for Aug. 14
Canceled last summer along with Olde Bristol Days, the 8th Annual Vintage Car Show is happy to announce that it’s coming back strong this year on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bristol Consolidated School on Bristol Road in Bristol. “It’s great to return to our roots at the school,” said show organizer Jeff Friedman. “Our first vintage show was there in 2013.”
Thrifty Good Food Hot or Cold Shrimp
Summer meals seem to be made for shrimp and prawns. Both are aquatic arthropods, part of the broad class of Crustacea that also contain lobsters and crabs. However, prawns are not just big shrimp. They differ in means of reproduction and number of claw-like legs. A prawn will have three pairs of legs, while even a very large shrimp will manage with only one pair. This may appear to be a trivia fact once they are served cooked in a dish, but may be used as a quick means for identification at a seafood market.

On July 13, 2021, heaven welcomed a beautiful new angel, Anna Titherington Nutter, 32. She joins her Grammy, her Uncle Ron, and her Poppy who were already there, waiting to welcome her home. Anna was born in Rockport, but moved with her family to Houston, Texas when she was 6 years old.
