Arthur Robinson Messer, 88, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and daughters by his side. He was born Oct. 11, 1932 in Claremont, N.H. to Donald Elbridge and Hazel Robinson Messer. He grew up in Claremont, Newport, and Troy, N.H., graduating from Towle High School in Newport in 1950.

Clarence E. “Sonny” York, 79, of Warren, passed away at his home with his family. Sonny was born to Bernard and Lucille (Elwell) York on May 7, 1941.

Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District is once again sponsoring an annual trout stocking sale for home or farm ponds. Two sizes are available, 4-6” rainbow trout and 7-9” brook trout, as well as oxygen bags that hold up to 50 fish. Minimum order is $50.

Disappearance of Brunswick Man Felt Locally

When Jason Reil disappeared from Brunswick in January 2012, family members were left scrambling for answers. Nine years later, his aunt, Vikki Cunningham, of Edgecomb, is still waiting for closure. Her nephew has not reappeared, nor has his body been found. At present, he is another one of Maine’s missing persons, gone but not forgotten.

Marie Antoinette (Duplisey) Bickford, 95, passed away on the afternoon of Feb. 22, 2021 at the LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta. Marie was the only child born to the late Fred and Mabel (McFarland) Duplisey, on Jan. 1, 1926.

James Vincent Maragioglio, 74, of Charleston, S.C., husband of Susan Cote Maragioglio, entered into eternal rest Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021. His private memorial service will be held in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Mary P. Guptill, 73, passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Walk-through visits will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 2-4 p.m. at Hall’s of Waldoboro. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held by the family.
