Panthers Pounce on Black Bears Early in Road Trip Win Medomak 70 - Maranacook 53
Medomak Valley boys basketball team raided the Black Bears den for a 70-53 win on Jan. 18. The Panthers pounced on Maranacook early, to take an 18-5 lead at the end of one. The defense of Jaiden Starr and Gabe Lash shut down Black Bear scorer Brayden St.Pierre in the second half, holding him to four points in the final two quarters.
Boothbay Boys Win on the Road Boothbay 74 - Buckfield 54
Boothbay boys basketball team defeated Buckfield 74-54 on the road on Jan. 18.

Medomak Valley JV and varsity girls “Paws for a Cause Pink Out” games with Maranacoook, have been postponed. They will be made up on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Medomak. JV play at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6:30 p.m.

Medomak Boys and Girls Beat MCI KVAC basketball action
Medomak Valley girls and boys basketball teams picked up wins over MCI on January 13. The Panthers defeated the Huskies 56-29 in Waldoboro, led by Gabe Lash with 14 points and Kevin Sincyr 13. MCI was led by Kyle Hall 10 and Owen Moore 6.
Seahawks Double Trouble for Wolverines
Boothbay Region boys and girls basketball teams were victorious over Wiscasset on Jan. 11 in the Seahawks nest. Boothbay boys defeated Wiscasset 69-20, led by Gryffin Kristan with 21 points, Finn Harkins 13, Connor Wenners 12 and Dylan Plummer 9. Wiscasset was led by Spencer Smith-Pinkham and Dylan Akers with 7 each.
Tuesday Night Basketball Round-Up January 10
Lincoln Academy girls basketball team picked up their third win of the season on Jan. 10, 53-27 over visiting Waterville. The Eagles were led by Mariam DeLisle 16, Reegan Dunican 14, and Maggie Thompson and Lexie Houghton 6 each. Waterville was led by Mara VanOesen with 13.
Seahawks Raid Oak Hill Boothbay 55 - Oak Hill 43
Boothbay defeated Oak Hill 55-43 in the Raiders den in a MVC boys basketball match-up on Jan. 7. Trailing 25-19 at the half, the Seahawks out scored Oak Hill 23-10 in the third to take the lead for good. The Seahawks were led by Luke Morely 15 (7R), Gryffin Kristan 14 (8R, 4S), and Ryan Amaral 11. Oak Hill was led by Cooper Scott 12 and Eli Desmond 11.
Oak Hill Cips Lady Seahawks by One
Oak Hill defeated Boothbay 35-34 in MVC girls basketball action on Jan. 6 in Boothbay. The Raiders were led by Payton Gonya and Arianna Thibeault with 13 each. The Lady Seahawks were led by Kathryn Hibbard with 15.
Oceanside Girls Ground Eagles
Defending State B champions Oceanside defeated Lincoln Academy 79-32 in Rockland on Jan. 7.
