Camden Hills boys basketball team defeated Medomak 50-41 for the Kno-Wal-Lin Tournament championship on March 11 in the Panthers den. The Windjammers netted the first 12 points of the ball game led by three 3-pointers from Jeremy Fraser. Medomak stayed within striking distance all game, but Camden led 12-5 at the quarter break, 30-25 at the half and 36-31 at the end of three.
Oceanside Clips the Panthers for Kno-Wal-Lin Championship Oceanside 44 - Medomak 39
The undefeated Oceanside girls basketball team held off the Lady Panthers to win the Kno-Wal-Lin tournament championship on March 11 in Rockland. Medomak led 10-7 at the quarter, led by two 3-pointers from Alyssa Creamer.
Lady Eagles Wrap Up Season with a Win Lincoln 45 - Richmond 40
Lincoln Academy girls basketball team wrapped up their season on March 9 with a 45-40 win over Richmond in the Eagles nest. Richmond led 10-5 at the quarter and 21-19 at the half, before the Lady Eagles rallied in the third on three 3-pointers from Maddy York to take a 33-31 lead into the break. Lincoln held on in wild fourth quarter, making five of eight foul shots in the final 32 seconds of play to pull out the five point win.

Lincoln Academy snapped a nine game losing streak on March 9 with a 61-47 win on the road at Richmond. The Eagles finish the season with a 2-9 record.

Medomak held off the aggressive Mustangs for a 64-47 win on March 8 in the Kno-Wal-Lin COVID Invitational Tournament. With the win, the Panthers advance to Thursday’s (March 11) championship game home against Camden Hills.

Medomak Valley’s bench saw plenty of action in their 74-33 win over Lincoln Academy in boys basketball action on March 2 in the Eagles nest.
Medomak Grounds the Lady Eagles Medomak 52 - Lincoln 37
Medomak Valley girls basketball team robbed the Eagles nest for a 52-37 win on March 2. After a slow start from both teams (5-5 at the quarter), the Lady Panthers netted 18 points in the second period to take the game for good. Medomak led by as many as 13 in the third quarter, before Lincoln netted three straight baskets to pull within seven heading into the final period. Senior Abby Lash netted 10 points in the final period, including two 3-pointers to lead Medomak to victory.

Boothbay Region High School will be hosting double header basketball games against Lincoln Academy on Thursday, March 4. The boys will play at 4:30 p.m. and the girls at 7 p.m.

Due to heating issues at Medomak Valley High School, both the boys and girls basketball games will be played at Lincoln Academy on Tuesday, March 2. The boys play at 4:30 p.m. and the girls at 6:30 p.m. Both games can be viewed live at lctv.org.

Medomak Valley defeated Oceanside 60-45 in a physical match-up in the Panthers den on Feb. 26. The Panthers jumped out to a 19-9 first quarter lead thanks to an 11 point run. Medomak led 29-22 at the half and 41-36 at the end of three.
Boothbay Boys Win the Battle of the Birds Boothbay 74 - Lincoln 53
Boothbay Region boys basketball team raided the Eagles nest for a 74-53 win on Feb. 26. The Seahawks jumped out to a 20-8 first quarter lead and led 42-25 at the half and 55-45 at the end of three. Lincoln pulled within five in the third quarter, before Boothbay rattled off 12 straight points over two quarters to put the game away.
