Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Oceanside 64-44 on Jan. 17 in the Panthers den. Medomak wore pink uniforms in honor of their annual Paws for a Cause game. The Panthers were led by Trevor Brown with 23 points, Patrick McKenney 15 and Parker Morrison 14. Oceanside was led by Elliot Lucier 15 and Cam Kingsbury 9.

Sadie Cohen scored the winning point at the foul line with . 3 second left on the clock. Medomak was led by Abby Lash and Kayla Donlin with 8 each, and Cohen and Autumn Ripley 7 each. Cony was led by Linelys Velazquez and Kiara Henry with 13 each.

Boothbay girls basketball team defeated Wiscasset 48-34 on Jan. 10 in the Lady Seahawk nest. Boothbay jumped out to a 15-5 first quarter lead then coasted, with players splitting playing time evenly. The Seahawks were led by Chloe Arsenault with 11 points, Madison Faulkingham 7, and Haley Abbott, Glory Blethen, Mara Gentry and Kylie Brown 6 each. Wiscasset was led by Kateleen Trask with 17 and Bri Colson-Orr 8.

Lincoln Academy girls basketball team snapped a three game losing streak with a 48-35 win at Mt.View on Jan. 9. The Eagles were led by Maddy York with 22 points (5-3’s) and Payson Kaler 12. The Mustangs were led by Cooten with 20.

Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Camden Hills 65-61 in the Windjammers harbor on Jan. 9. After a slow start, that saw Camden lead 11-5 at the quarter break, the Panthers out scored Camden 22-6 in the second period to take the lead for good.

Yarmouth girls basketball team raided the Eagles nest for a 64-49 win over Lincoln Academy on Jan. 7. The Clippers jumped out to a 22-10 first quarter lead, and led 39-20 at the half and 53-32 at the end of three.
Saturday Basketball Games Medomak 56 - Mt.Blue 47
Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Mt.Blue 56-47 in the battle of the big cats in Waldoboro on Jan. 4. The Panthers took the lead for good midway through the first period, but the Cougars hung around, pulling within four with 1:49 to play. Patrick McKenney sank eight of 10 foul shots in the final 1:21 to pace Medomak to victory.

Waterville girls basketball team beat Lincoln Academy 53-35 in the Eagles nest on Jan. 2. The Purple Panthers jumped out to a 19-10 first quarter lead and held for the duration of the game. Waterville was led by Sadie Garling with 14, and Kali Thompson 13. Lincoln was led by Maisy O’Brien with 8 points and Payson Kaler 7, Maddy York 7 and Olivia Stiles 7.
Cony Rams Home Win Over Panthers Cony 91 - Medomak 78
Cony boys basketball team robbed the Panther den for a 91-78 win on Jan. 2. The loss was the first of the season for Medomak Valley (7-1). Both teams left it all on the court, as action raced end line to end line at a breakneck speed. The Rams jumped out to a 32-18 first quarter lead and led 49-38 at the half. Medomak clawed their way back in the third quarter to tie the game 64-64 at the end of three.
