Lincoln Academy girls basketball team defeated MCI 55-41 in the Eagles nest on Jan. 20 to pick up their fourth straight win. The Lady Eagles jumped out to a 10-4 first quarter lead and extended it to 27-14 at the half. Lincoln was led by Payson Kaler 19, Grace Houghton 13 and Maddy York 10. Belfast was led by Dow 17 and Stiles 11.
Wiscasset Girls Soccer Presented Sportsmanship Award
Wiscasset girls soccer team were presented the 2019 Willy Walter sportsmanship award on Jan. 18. Fifty midcoast officials voted on the award throughout the soccer season. Teams were judged on game sportsmanship from coaches, players and fans.

Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Oceanside 64-44 on Jan. 17 in the Panthers den. Medomak wore pink uniforms in honor of their annual Paws for a Cause game. The Panthers were led by Trevor Brown with 23 points, Patrick McKenney 15 and Parker Morrison 14. Oceanside was led by Elliot Lucier 15 and Cam Kingsbury 9.

Medomak Valley girls basketball team avenged a double overtime loss to Cony on Jan. 14 with a 39-38 win in the Panthers den. Sadie Cohen scored the winning point at the foul line with . 3 second left on the clock. Medomak was led by Abby Lash and Kayla Donlin with 8 each, and Cohen and Autumn Ripley 7 each. Cony was led by Linelys Velazquez and Kiara Henry with 13 each.
Lady Seahawks Clip Wolverines Boothbay 48 - Wiscasset 34
Boothbay girls basketball team defeated Wiscasset 48-34 on Jan. 10 in the Lady Seahawk nest. Boothbay jumped out to a 15-5 first quarter lead then coasted, with players splitting playing time evenly. The Seahawks were led by Chloe Arsenault with 11 points, Madison Faulkingham 7, and Haley Abbott, Glory Blethen, Mara Gentry and Kylie Brown 6 each. Wiscasset was led by Kateleen Trask with 17 and Bri Colson-Orr 8.
Eagles Split with Mt. View Lady Eagles snap three game losing streak
Lincoln Academy girls basketball team snapped a three game losing streak with a 48-35 win at Mt.View on Jan. 9. The Eagles were led by Maddy York with 22 points (5-3’s) and Payson Kaler 12. The Mustangs were led by Cooten with 20.
