The Rubber Ducky Race will be revived by the Old Bristol Historical Society, which will hold the popular fund-raising event on Sunday, July 25, at noon on the Pemaquid River across Route 130 from the Society’s Pemaquid Falls campus.

The Damariscotta Fireworks display will begin immediately after dusk in the municipal parking lot. There will be no daytime festivities this year. In the event of bad weather, the display will be postponed until Monday, July 5.

Every year, on the Saturday after Labor Day, over 100 volunteers from Lincoln County and beyond come together in teams to work on home repair projects at 10 to 15 of our neighbors’ homes.

Maggie Weiss, of Bristol, submitted the winning t-shirt design for this year’s Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta. The Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta is held every October during the holiday weekend. This year’s festival will be October 8-11.

Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust is once again offering its popular Camp in a Box package for sale this summer. New this year, there are two versions to choose from.

The Round Pond UMC, the White Church, began in 1853 and has served the community faithfully for all these years. Due to declining membership and financial constraints they will be closing at the end of this month. They would like to invite the community to their closing service on Sunday, June 27 at 2 p.m.

The Lincoln County News office will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of the Fourth of July.

Everyone lives in a watershed, or an area where water flows into a water body. This means everyone can help protect water quality. Water quality is critical for drinking water, recreational opportunities, land values, wildlife, and local economy.
