The farmers and goats of Pumpkin Vine Family Farm are excited to invite the public to join them for a special day of learning and fun on Sunday, June 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. In honor of national Dairy Month, they’ve designed a whole farm-full of hands-on activities for visitors ages 7 to 77.

Celebrate the start of summer at Historic New England’s annual Open House at Castle Tucker and the Nickels-Sortwell House on Saturday, June 4. Free guided tours will be given at each house on the half hour, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last tour leaving at 3 p.m. All visitors must follow current state COVID-19 guidelines and follow social distancing rules.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ Maine Days, generously sponsored by Renys, will welcome Maine residents to visit the gardens at no cost over Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30.

Every year the alewives run from the ocean to fresh water spawning grounds, and this year runners and walkers can help support their journey with a 5K road race on Saturday, May 28.

South Bristol Historical Society will have its first monthly public presentation of 2022 at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the South Bristol School gym. This is the first of five monthly SBHS presentations open to the community.

The next Cupacity wine tasting, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, will feature six exquisite Georgian vintages from innovative vineyards like Guardians, Vinobiza, and Malati, ranging from the region’s fruity yet dry whites, distinctive amber rosés, and signature dark purple reds.
