Barbara Ann Simmons, 83, of Waldoboro, passed away on Aug. 29, 2025 at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital with family at her bedside after sustaining a life-ending injury at home. Born on Oct. 5, 1941 in Bath, she was the daughter of Joseph Francis Thibodeau and Isabelle (Havener).

Arthur F. Quinn, 86, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay.

Marie S. Patfoort, a devote Christian, educator, and cherished matriarch of a wide and loving chosen family, passed peacefully at the age of 95 on Aug. 5, 2025.

Laura Bernice Hayward passed away at her home in Wiscasset on Aug. 27, 2025. She and her twin brother, David, were born on June 12, 1941, in Damariscotta to Ralph and Grace Hodgkins Jones. She was the last baby to be transferred from the old Miles Memorial Hospital.

Wallace “Wally” R. Roby, 98, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025.

Elizabeth Wilt, 77, passed peacefully from this life, and went home to be with the lord, on Aug. 27, 2025. She lived at Cove’s Edge where she was loved and supported for the past year and a half.

Frederic B. Hatch III, “Fred,” passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 19, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born in Damariscotta at Miles Memorial Hospital in 1942, the son of Evelyn and Frederic Boynton Hatch II. He was a graduate of the class of 1960 at Lincoln Academy, where he was crowned “Sir Lincoln” and was a letterman for his participation in the athletic programs.

Ellen Nancy Teele Wiggins, 82, of Jefferson, passed away on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025 at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta with family at her side. Born on Feb. 24, 1943 in Bremen, she was the daughter of Rufus and Barbara (Standish) Teele.

Joan B. Reed, 89, of Old Farm Lane, Wiscasset, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 at St Andrews Village in Boothbay. She was born in Wiscasset on Feb. 28, 1936 to Forrest and Josephine (Sutter) Johnson.

Margaret J. “Peggy” Rodrigue, 74, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Aug. 17, 2025. Born on July 8, 1951 in Damariscotta, to the late Merrill Rice and Marie (Benner), Peggy was a lifelong Mainer who dedicated her life to caring for others and loving her family deeply.

Robert “Bob” King Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Whitefield on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by the love and warmth of his grandchildren.

With heavy hearts and wonderful memories, we announce the passing of Joyce James Golding, our dear mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. Joyce left this life peacefully on July 13, 2025, surrounded by family and love after a courageous brief illness.
