On Wednesday July 28, 2021, Richard Ripley, loving husband and father of one son, passed away at the age of 70. He had recently been diagnosed with metastasized brain cancer.

Michael P. Uminski, “Boston Mike,” of Waldoboro, born Jan. 29, 1956 in Dorchester, Mass., passed away July 24, 2021, at the age of 65, following a motorcycle accident.

On Sunday, July 25, 2021, our community unexpectedly lost a compassionate, adventurous, and generous soul. Kimberly “Kim” Ann Crocker lived her life with laughter and positivity, changing the lives of everyone she met.

Cynthia H. Winchenbach, 92, died July 25, 2021 at her home in Waldoboro. Cynthia was born June 11, 1929 in Rockland, and raised by her father, Nathaniel House. She grew up in Newcastle, and graduated from Lincoln Academy.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Beatrice Hodgdon Chase, 79, of Round Pond. She passed away peacefully on July 10, 2021, just two weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.

Florence Numajiri Field passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021, just one month shy of her 97th birthday. Florence was an accomplished artist, a brilliant writer and organizer, a joy-filled friend, and a loving mother and grandmother. Though small in stature, Florence was a mighty, yet humble, bundle of passion and righteous action on behalf of those in her community.

Edgar M. Johns Jr., 84, of Bremen, went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2021. He was born in Boston, Mass. on Oct. 28, 1936, son of the late Edgar Johns Sr. and Alice M. Burns.

Ronald C. Weeks Jr., 45, of Friendship, died unexpectedly aboard his lobster boat while doing something he loved, tuna fishing. Ronnie passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

For over 50 years Theodore “Ted” Wooster, walked briskly down the hill to his pharmacy on Friendship Street, eager to greet the new day. Clark’s Drug Store was not just a business to Ted, it was his mission to care for the people of Waldoboro.
