Gary Lewis, 78, of Gardiner, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at Glenridge Rehab Center in Augusta after a long illness of dementia.

At the Highlands Cadigan Lodge in Topsham, Amos Neal Prescott Jr., 96, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 after a fine and full life.

Lee Hanna Cushing, 84, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away suddenly on Jan. 10, 2021 in his own home.

Virgil Edward Benner unexpectedly left this world Jan. 3, 2021 in Fresno, Calif. at Community Regional Medical Center with his longtime partner Jeannie at his side.

Ernest F. Bowman passed away Jan. 6, 2021 peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Ernest was born Feb. 14, 1952 in Rockland.

Richard “Dick” Jackson Ball, aged 82, of Chelsea, died at his home Dec. 28, 2020 of complications from COPD.

Chester S. Merrifield, 89, passed away Jan. 5, 2021 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. He was born Aug. 12, 1931 in Porter to Fred and Evelyn (Rounds) Merrifield. He graduated from Porter High School in 1950.

Suzanne Richmond Collins died suddenly in Santa Fe, N.M. on Dec. 19, 2020. ‘Suzy” was born in Paris, France on March 20, 1931. She was predeceased by her parents, Millard and Pauline Richmond of New Harbor; her sister, Joan Lyford and her husband Cabot, also of New Harbor; Suzy’s husband, Thomas Collins of Sedona, Ariz.; and their eldest son, Bradford Collins of Whittier, N.C.

Joseph Herbert Carusone, 88, of Walpole, passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2020 in his home surrounded by family.
