Monica P. Moore (née Penney) passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2025, in Edgecomb, at the age of 96. Born on Nov. 17, 1929, Monica was the last surviving child of Arthur and Margaret Delorey Penney. She grew up in a large family alongside her brothers Russell, Arthur, and Charles Penney, and her sisters Marjorie Martin, Irene Vinal, Betty Henderson, and Peggy Chadwick.

Janet was born on Dec. 12, 1929, in Oceanside, N.Y. to Frank and Hope Bannister, and was raised in Rockville Centre, Long Island. She spent her summers in Southwest Harbor, where her family had resided for generations.

Mary Theresa “Terry” Mullin, of Portland, formerly of New Harbor, passed away on Nov. 15, 2025 at the Barron Center in Portland after a long struggle with early onset dementia. Mary was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Jeanne Gallagher Henry and George L. Henry on Dec. 29, 1956, while her father was stationed with the Navy. She was proud of her being born in a warm and sunny climate before it was even a state. Her love of beach, sun, and sand was a constant throughout her life. She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Margaret.

Mark was born March 10, 1963 in Damariscotta to Ronald Francis Blackler and Louise Mae Boggs Blackler. Mark attended local schools and was a member of the graduating class of 1981 at Medomak Valley High School.

Carol Sherman Knapp died at age 88 on Nov. 19, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1937 in Watertown, N.Y. to Virginia Thomson and Nathaniel Sherman. Carol enjoyed growing up on a farm with her sister Cindy and brother Chick, fly-fishing, hunting, and training her standard poodle Sherrie. She graduated from Copenhagen High School. She spent many wonderful summers as camper and counselor at Lanakila and Camp Aloha in Vermont. Carol majored in biology at Cornell University, where she met friends in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and her future husband, John Edward Knapp.
