Monica P. Moore (née Penney) passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2025, in Edgecomb, at the age of 96. Born on Nov. 17, 1929, Monica was the last surviving child of Arthur and Margaret Delorey Penney. She grew up in a large family alongside her brothers Russell, Arthur, and Charles Penney, and her sisters Marjorie Martin, Irene Vinal, Betty Henderson, and Peggy Chadwick.

After a wonderful, long life, Janet B. Reilly, of New Harbor, passed away on Nov. 28, 2025, at 95 years of age. Janet was born on Dec. 12, 1929, in Oceanside, N.Y. to Frank and Hope Bannister, and was raised in Rockville Centre, Long Island. She spent her summers in Southwest Harbor, where her family had resided for generations.

John Richard Green Jr., of San Miguel, Calif., passed away on Nov. 24, 2025 in New Harbor.

Timothy Harkins II passed on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Augusta.

Ken Maguire, age 88, of South Bristol, died peacefully at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor on Saturday morning, Nov. 22, 2025. Ken had lived for the past couple of years at Hodgdon Green in Damariscotta, where he received compassionate care.

Cynthia A. Sabina (Cammarota), 66, passed away peacefully on Nov. 18, 2025 in her home in Sheepscot Village after a short journey with cancer.

Mary Theresa “Terry” Mullin, of Portland, formerly of New Harbor, passed away on Nov. 15, 2025 at the Barron Center in Portland after a long struggle with early onset dementia. Mary was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Jeanne Gallagher Henry and George L. Henry on Dec. 29, 1956, while her father was stationed with the Navy. She was proud of her being born in a warm and sunny climate before it was even a state. Her love of beach, sun, and sand was a constant throughout her life. She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Margaret.

Mark Geoffrey Blackler, 62, suddenly passed on Nov. 19, 2025 in Eddington as a result of an automobile accident. Mark was born March 10, 1963 in Damariscotta to Ronald Francis Blackler and Louise Mae Boggs Blackler. Mark attended local schools and was a member of the graduating class of 1981 at Medomak Valley High School.

Carol Sherman Knapp died at age 88 on Nov. 19, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1937 in Watertown, N.Y. to Virginia Thomson and Nathaniel Sherman. Carol enjoyed growing up on a farm with her sister Cindy and brother Chick, fly-fishing, hunting, and training her standard poodle Sherrie. She graduated from Copenhagen High School. She spent many wonderful summers as camper and counselor at Lanakila and Camp Aloha in Vermont. Carol majored in biology at Cornell University, where she met friends in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and her future husband, John Edward Knapp.

Robin J. Foudray, 70, of Damariscotta, passed away on the evening of Nov. 19, 2025 after living with Alzheimer’s disease for several years. Robin grew up in Oakland, N.J.

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Torrey, aged 85, of Asheville, N.C., passed away Nov. 5, 2025.

Peggy Delano, a lifelong resident of Wiscasset, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor. She was 86 and had bravely fought a long battle with dementia.

Richard Coutts McIntire Sr., known to many as “Dick,” died peacefully at his beloved camp in Pemaquid on Nov. 12, 2025 surrounded by his family.

A. Jeanette Achorn, 95, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully on Nov. 7, 2025.
