Gordon Fletcher, 57, of Bristol, passed away at his home on the morning of Dec. 22, 2025. Born in Rhode Island on Dec. 16, 1968, he was the son of R. Ian and Joan (Zara) Fletcher.

Edward “Buzz” Andrew Benner, 75, of Pemaquid, passed away at his home on Dec. 24, 2025 after several years of health issues. He was born Dec. 5, 1950 to Alice L. and Mathias A. Benner, of Bristol. He attended local schools and graduated from Lincoln Academy in the class of 1969. He then attended New England Aeronautical Institute in Nashua, N.H., as he aspired to be a commercial helicopter pilot. However, he learned due to a back injury, he would never be able to obtain a commercial license.

Jane Holloway passed peacefully in her sleep under the loving care of her daughter, Mary Ann, in Littleton, Mass., and went to be with her lord and savior on Dec. 27, 2025. Janet “Jane” Margaret Benner was born in Nobleboro on July 16, 1930 to Arthur and Helen (Getchell) Benner.

Valerie Anne Staab Chipman was born Aug. 26, 1958 in Augusta to George A. Staab and Mary L. Staab. She, her parents, and brother and sister shared many happy years together in their home in Jefferson.

Elaine Jean Johnson Upham, 76, passed away peacefully on Dec. 22, 2025, at her home where she wanted to be, watching the sunrises and her many bluebirds, cardinals, and other songbirds at her window feeder.

Dr. Donald Langlois passed away peacefully at his beloved home in New Harbor on Dec. 23, 2025. Don’s passion for life and learning manifested in all he did. It was contagious. He was a fun father, a loving husband, and an outstanding educator.

Abigail Jane Thomas, 41, of Corinth, was taken from this world on the morning of Dec. 27, 2025.

Larry R. Smith, 83, of Boothbay Harbor, formerly of Wiscasset, passed away on the afternoon of Dec. 31, 2025 at the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta. Born in Bath on Oct. 1, 1942, he was the son of Philip and Mary Louise (Petrillo) Smith.

Steven Clayton Cooper, 67, died on Dec. 20, 2025 at home in Somerville. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Esten Cooper; his younger brother and closest companion, Wayne “Red” Cooper; and his firstborn, Lance Mollison.

Julie Ramsey, 82, of Woolwich, passed Nov. 30, 2025. She loved Maine and moved here 16 years ago from Dayton, Ohio to live with her sister. There will be a remembrance service at Bath United Methodist Church, at 340 Oak Grove Ave., on Jan. 10, 2026 at 10 a.m.

Arthur Lerman, 76, transitioned from Earth peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, having lived a life of adventure and service dedicated to helping others and making a difference in the world. He considered himself an ordinary person committed to achieving extraordinary things. He chose to end his full and rewarding life as he had lived it, on his own terms.

Tregonnan Margaret née Morrison was born in 1935 in Sydney, Australia. “Tregonnan” is a Cornish surname, a variant of Tregoning and meaning “homestead on a hill.” Hugh Tregoning (1759-1812) was a direct ancestor.
