The Medomak football team crushed Oceanside 50-14 on Friday, Oct. 17 under the lights in Waldoboro. Sophomore running back Jaydiin Ruiz was virtually unstoppable as he set single-game Medomak offensive records for yards gained in a game (339), touchdowns scored (six), and points scored (42).

Boothbay Field Hockey Vaults Into First In Class C South Boothbay 5 - Hall-Dale 0
The Boothbay field hockey team shut out Hall-Dale 5-0 on Friday, Oct. 17 in Farmingdale. The lopsided win avenged the only loss of the season for the Seahawks, a 1-0 battle that took place Sept. 15. With the win over the Bulldogs, Boothbay claimed the No. 1 seed in Class C South and earned a spot in the Mountain Valley Conference championship game on Friday, Oct. 24 in Boothbay.

Medomak Valley runner Ava Collamore was KVAC small school division (Class B) runner-up in 20:36. LA’s Annabel Garvan-Soto ran to a fourth place finish in 21:39.

Medomak is hosting youth boys basketball clinics for grades 3-6 on November 1 and 15, at Medomak Valley High School.
LA Pumpkin Run
Lincoln Academy cross country team will be hosting their annual LA Pumpkin Run on Thurs., Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. The date was changed because of incoming weather. The course is 1.2 miles long and the race is open to all grammar school aged children.

Inaugural Tour De Gourd 5K Draws 160-Plus To Twin Villages New Harbor's Fehnel Wins Race
The Tour De Gourd 5K’s debut in the slate of Damariscotta Pumpkinfest and Regatta offerings proved to be a success, drawing 166 runners and walkers ages 8-71 to the Twin Villages on Monday, Oct. 13. Corey Fehnel, of New Harbor, won the inaugural running of the race with a time of 18:20.
