Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Morse 91-49 in Bath on Dec. 13. The Panthers were led by Trevor Brown with 22, Blake Morrison 19, Jacob Craig 14 and Gabe Allaire 12. Morse was led by Aucion 14 and Morrison 10.
Medomak Valley girls basketball team crushed the Shipbuilders 76-31 on Dec. 13 in the Panthers den. Medomak was led by Autumn Ripley and Sadie Cohen with 16 points each and Abby Lash 15. Morse was led by Julia Goddard 9 and Dory Kulis 8.
Lincoln Academy girls basketball team rallied for a 47-44 win over Maranacook in the Eagles nest on Dec. 13. Maranacook tied the game with 55 seconds to go on a Kate Mohler 3-pointer.
Maranacook boys basketball defeated Lincoln Academy 105-54 in the Black Bears den on Dec. 13.
The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 15-2 first quarter lead, and extended it to 26-7 at the half and 39-15 at the end of three in their 54-29 win at Camden Hills on Dec. 11.
Freeport girls basketball team raided the Eagles nest for a 64-34 win on Dec. 11. Freeport jumped out to a 19-4 first quarter lead and never relinquished it. Freeport was led by Caroline Smith with 15, Rachel Wall 11 and Mason Baker-Schlendering 10. Lincoln was led by Grace Houghton with 12.
Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated Camden Hills 62-46 in the Panthers den on Dec. 11. Camden led briefly in the first quarter, before the Panthers scored eight straight, including back to back threes from Patrick McKenney and Jake Bickmore to take the lead for good.
Lincoln Academy girls basketball team jumped out to a 21-7 first quarter lead then rolled to a 59-35 win in their Class B KVAC opener on the road at Belfast on Dec. 6.

The Lions scored 18 points in the final period, while holding LA to four, to win 60-33 in the Eagles nest in a KVAC Class B boys basketball match-up on Dec. 6.
Erskine Academy girls basketball team opened their KVAC Class A season with a 69-56 win at Medomak Valley on Dec. 6.
The third annual Icy Elf 5K will be held on Sun., Dec 22 at 3 p.m. Pre-registration is $20, and day of race is $25.
The eighth annual Dustin Osier Memorial alumni girls and boys basketball games will be held on Sat., Dec. 21 at 5:30 and 6 p.m. at Medomak Valley High School. Funds from the tournament go to the Dustin Osier Scholarship fund, to support a Medomak Valley graduate pursuing a higher education.
Maine Maritime Academy senior Nick DePatsy, of Waldoboro, scored his 1,000th career collegiate point. According to the MMA men’s basketball website, DePatsy had 972 career points after three season. He scored 28 points in MMA’s home opener against York College. DePatsy was officially recognized for scoring his 1,000th career point at MMA’s away game at UMaine Machias on November 20.
