Two of the best softball teams in the state traded leads throughout the first four innings of the high scoring affair before the Tigers were able to hold off the Panthers in the final three innings.

The Lincoln County Cardinals baseball team will open the Pine Tree League regular season at home on Sunday, May 17 with a game against the Winthrop Red Sox. The opening day baseball contest will be held at Wiscasset Middle High School at 9 a.m.
Midcoast Team Finishes 13th at National Equestrian Championships
The Midcoast Maine IEA team placed 13th at the IEA Hunt Seat and Dressage National Finals held April 23-26 at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, Mo. Eighteen of the top teams from around the country competed at the event. It was the first time that the Midcoast Maine IEA team had qualified for the sport’s most prestigious tournament.

Eagles Compete In Back-to-Back Meets Higgins Breaks Own School Record in 1600m
Lincoln Academy track teams competed in back-to-back meets on Friday, May 8 at Mt. Ararat and Saturday May 9 at Waterville. Karen Higgins broke her own school record in the 1600m run at the Waterville Invitational in a time of 5:21.63.
