Lincoln Academy’s golf team placed second at the KVAC State Qualifier on Oct.4 at Natanis to qualifier for the State Golf Tournament.
Panthers Tame the Bears Medomak 3 - Maranacook 1
Medomak Valley boys soccer team came up big on Oct. 4 with a 3-1 win over visiting Maranacook. Morgan Waltz, Slavick Moody and Vishal Mellor scored for the Panthers.
Eagles Split with Shipbuilders
Lincoln Academy boys soccer team defeated Morse 4-0 on Oct. 4 in the Eagles nest. Pablo Duran netted three goals, and Jack Duncan one (two assists). The two teams tied in their first match-up on Sept. 27.
Lincoln and Morse Boys Soccer Lock Into 2-2 Tie
Lincoln Academy boys soccer tied Morse 2-2 on Sept. 37 in Bath. The Eagles were up 2-1, before scored a late goal to knot the score. The two teams battled through two scoreless overtime periods in the stalemate.
Panthers Win Battle of the Big Cats
Medomak boys and girls soccer teams were double trouble for the Belfast Lions on Sept. 27. The Panthers beat Belfast 3-0 on goals from Vishal Mellor, Nevan Power and Juan Carlson. The girls beat the Lady Lions 2-0 on goals from Haley Blake and Sara Nelson.
Lincoln Girls Sink Shipbuilders Lincoln 4 - Morse 1
Lincoln Academy girls soccer team defeated Morse 4-1 on Sept. 27. Mariam DeLisle, Bronwen Coffin and Marley LeBel had a goal and assist each, and Zofie Day had a goal. Morse’s Shealyn Brochu gave Morse a 1-0 lead a minute in to the contest.
Softball Pitching Clinic with Julie Roy and Kayla (Vannah) Lyons Sunday, October 23
Julie Roy and Kayla (Vannah) Lyons will be holding a softball pitching clinic on Oct 23 at the Pitch in Warren. Roy is a former Division leftie, and Lyons pitched for St. Joseph College, and is a Medomak Valley graduate. They have a combined 20 years of pitching experience.
LA Homecoming Scores
Lincoln Academy’s field hockey team lost 2-0 to Morse on Sept. 23 during their Homecoming match-up.
Storm Affected Games
Lincoln Academy’s field hockey game with Belfast is still on for Thurssday, Sept 22. The game time and location have been moved, however. The game has been moved to 4:30 p.m. and will be played at Point Lookout.
