The 1990-1991 Wiscasset High School boys basketball Class C state champion team will be honored as an outstanding team at the Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame banquet on Saturday, Oct. 21. The event will be held at the Rockland Elks Lodge.

Do to unsafe field conditions at Medomak Valley, the Tuesday, Sept. 19 boys soccer game with Morse, has been postponed (make-up TBD). The girls soccer game at Morse today is still on at 4 p.m. Medomak JV football will play Brewer on Tuesday, Sept. 19 on Medomak Valley’s front field at 4:30 p.m.

Share the Road with Carol Bike Ride Oct. 1

The seventh annual Share the Road with Carol memorial bike ride will take place on Sunday, Oct. 1 in Windsor and Whitefield. The ride, which has 12-mile and 27-mile options, starts and ends at the Windsor town office.

It was hot and humid on Saturday night, Sept. 9 up the coast of Maine, but that didn’t stop Wiscasset Speedway as it hosted an action-packed Group 1 racing program. The night featured the Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Norm’s Used Cars Pro Stocks, Sweatt’s Concrete Thunder 4 Minis and double features for the Gosline Insurance Super Streets.
