Kenneth Lewis Boyd, aged 78, residing in Rock Cave, W.Va. passed away suddenly on June 9, 2023. Kenny was born July 15, 1944, in Rockland, son of late Lewis and Florence Lewis Boyd. He grew up in Newcastle, where he spent most of his life.

Dr. K. Frank Austen of Wellesley, Mass., and Damariscotta, a noted physician-scientist in immunology/allergy and rheumatology for six decades at Harvard Medical School (HMS), died at his home in Maine on June 23, 2023, at the age of 95.

Susan J. Renelt, 85, of Bremen, passed away at the Sussman House in Rockport on the morning of June 21, 2023. Sue, the eldest daughter of Arthur and Ruth (Berger) Jones, was born on June 12, 1938 in Rochester, N.Y.

Lisa Gilbride Honored by USTA New England

Lisa Gilbride, former racquet and paddle sports director for the Central Lincoln County YMCA in Damariscotta, was inducted into the U.S. Tennis Association of New England’s Hall of Fame Class of 2023 during a ceremony at the International Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I. on June 11.
