Start to get excited for the Pemaquid Beach Triathlon, hosted by Bristol Parks and Recreation and Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust. The triathlon is on Sunday, Aug. 24. Eleven weeks to go! Until then, I will be writing weekly articles providing training tips for the beginner triathlete.

Benjamin Millett and Martha-Mary Lane, of Bremen, announce the birth of their first child and son, Fritz Allen, on May 26 at Midcoast Hospital. Maternal grandparents are Wayne Lane Sr. and Gretchen Lane, both of Pittstown, N.Y. Paternal grandparents are Robin Maginn and Sean Fitzgerald, of Bristol, and Allen H. Millett Jr., who recently passed.

Richard F. Eason, of Ocala, Fla. and Nobleboro, formerly of Malden, Mass., died May 30, 2025. Born in Woburn, Mass. 74 years ago, Richard passed away suddenly at his very favorite place.

Allan R. Benner, 95, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at Windward Gardens in Camden. Born on March 27, 1930 to Ralph and Ethel (Creamer) Benner in Waldoboro, Allan spent his life rooted in the community he loved.
