Friends of Hog Island has announced the launch of a digital history about the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen. Since its founding in 1936 as a hands-on conservation camp for teachers, the Audubon Camp in Maine has instilled a love of nature and commitment to community and conservation in the more than 50,000 campers who have arrived on Hog Island.

Patriotic Club Hosts Country Fair

Members of the Patriotic Club of Bremen are busy getting ready for the fall country fair, Oct. 10. The fair will offer a number of baked goods, jams and jellies. Among the jams will be blueberry jam with lemon, sweet orange marmalade, peach jam, apple butter, strawberry rhubarb jam, and black raspberry jelly.

Drive-Thru Turkey Dinner to Benefit Bremen FD

The Bremen Fire Department will hold its annual turkey dinner in drive-thru fashion this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Pickup will take place at the fire station on Route 32 starting at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24.
