Morris Farm is excited to announce registration for Summer Farm Camp is now open. Utilizing the farm’s livestock and gardens, camp starts Tuesday, July 5, with eight weekly sessions running through Friday, Aug. 26.

Castlebay to Perform at Merry Barn’s ‘Stories from the Sea’ Submitted article

Kick off Windjammer Days with “Stories from the Sea” on Sunday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m., at the Merry Barn Writers’ Retreat in Edgecomb. Special musical guest Castlebay will share treasured ballads, and songs of ships and sailors from Maine’s rich history. We’ll hear a read aloud and co-create an ocean-themed community mural. Come paint a ship, sea creature, or sailor, sing-along, and enjoy nautical lore!

Allen Lee Jackson Nov. 9, 1959 - June 20, 2022

Allen Lee Jackson passed away in his home on June 20, 2022, at the age of 62 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family, who all came together the day before his passing to celebrate his father’s day with him. He was born on Nov. 9, 1959 in Augusta to Ada (Farris) and Clifton Jackson.

David Daniel Guerrette

David Daniel Guerrette, 63, of Augusta, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, following several years being in a home in Bangor, for advanced dementia. He was born the son of Maurice Guerrette and Doris (Roy) Guerrette, of Frenchville. He was the youngest of five.

Virginia ‘Mickey’ Chickering Brackett Service Announcement

Virginia “Mickey” Chickering Brackett, 86, of Bristol, died on Saturday afternoon, June 18, 2022 at Windward Gardens in Camden. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, June 28 in the New Harbor Cemetery.

Born in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Joseph and Marion Briggs, Arnold was well known for his small stature, keen sense of humor, sharp mind, and commitment to serving his community of Damariscotta.

Barbara T. Hamlin July 28, 1926 - June 10, 2022

Barbara T. Hamlin died at age 95 on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers, Mass. after a several day stay. She was a talented seamstress, author, hostess, Scrabble player, and the loving matriarch of her family. For the past four years, she had lived in Ipswich, Mass. with her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Eve Hamlin.
