Medomak Valley girls basketball team defeated Morse 49-42 on Dec. 23 in Bath. The Lady Shipbuilders led briefly at the end of the third quarter, before the Lady Panthers recaptured the lead 34-31 at the end of three. Medomak was led in scoring by Alyssa Creamer with 17, Kytana Williamson 10, and Autumn Ripley 8. Morse was led by Dakota Shipley with 13 and Danielle Bryant 10.

Lincoln Academy boys basketball team picked up their first win of the season on Dec. 17 with a 65-52 victory over Gardiner in the Eagles nest. A balanced offensive attack saw three Eagles score in double figures, including Gabe Hagar 18, Jake Masters 15, Tucker Stiles 12 and Lucas Houghton 10. Gardiner was led by Colby Moody with 19 and Dillon Elliott 10.

Leavitt defeated Lincoln Academy boys basketball team 59-42 in a KVAC opener on Dec. 10. The Hornets jumped out to a 16-6 lead. Lincoln cut the lead to five at the half, and to one at the end of three, 43-42.

Three Local Dancers to Perform in ‘Nutcracker’ at Gendron Franco Center
