“Made in Maine”, the last show of the season at the Maine Art Gallery in Wiscasset, is worth a look. All of the art in the show, which runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday until Oct. 22, has been created by Maine Art Gallery members who were drawn to the gallery from areas of Maine well beyond Wiscasset.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, the acclaimed traditional Irish band Altan arrives in Maine on the first night of their long awaited U.S. tour. Their only Maine performance will be on stage at Boothbay Harbor’s historic opera house. Advance discounted tickets are currently on sale.

Over 30 years ago, the Waldoboro Word of Life Church started hosting monthly gospel music concerts as a way of sharing their faith. The concert tradition has continued over the years with many, primarily New England-based musicians sharing their music.
