Katherine F. Norwood, 91, of South Bristol, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. She was born on May 3, 1930 in South Bristol to Clifton and Fannie Poole. She grew up and attended school in South Bristol, and graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1948.

Claudette Jean Jones, 83, of Cushing, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022. Claudette was born in Belfast on July 21, 1938, to parents Cecil Tower and Elsie Sanborn Tower.

Christopher Naylor Caswell, 65, of Nobleboro, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2022 at the Sussman Hospice House, Rockport, after a well-fought battle against prostate cancer.

Vernon Allan Johnston died peacefully on Jan. 31, 2022, at the Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, Va., following a period of deteriorating health. Allan was born on Aug. 6, 1955, in Damariscotta to the late Vernon Johnston and Lorraine (Perry) Johnston.

Norma Jean Osier, 83, of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Jan. 29, 2022.

Elizabeth “Betsy” Pomerleau Wooster died peacefully from pancreatic cancer at the Sussman Hospice facility in Rockport. It was a quiet morning with the sun illuminating the mounds of snow after the blizzard. This luminescence was a fitting tribute to Betsy’s life of dedication to family, friends, community, and politics.

Virginia S. James, 95, died peacefully on Jan. 20, 2022, in Port Orange, Fla., where she resided in recent years.

Anthony John Geroux II, “AJ,” 54, of Jefferson, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Jan. 27, 2022 with his loving wife by his side. Born on Sept. 10, 1967, in Damariscotta, he was the son of Anthony and Virginia (Waning) Geroux.

Anthony (Tony) Suchower, age 91, passed away under the loving care of his three daughters in Waldoboro on Jan. 26, 2022, after several months of declining health.

Seward Poland Smith, 74, of Bristol, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at LincolnHealth-Miles Campus in Damariscotta.

William F. “Bill” Connell, 97, formerly of Damariscotta, passed away quietly at home in Orono on Jan. 27, 2022, with his wife of 76 years, Marrilyn (Loeser), by his side.

Elizabeth Menta Blaisdell Lane, 90 of New Harbor, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2022, peacefully at home.
