John R. Hutchins, 53, died April 7, 2020 at his home in Boothbay after a brief illness. John was born March 19, 1967 in Boothbay Harbor to Coleman Hutchins and Sandra (Curtis) Hutchins. He grew up in Boothbay Harbor and graduated from Boothbay Harbor High School in the class of 1985. John was a very talented swimmer on the Boothbay Region High School swim team and the Boothbay Region YMCA swim team. John really enjoyed playing softball in the Men’s Softball League in Boothbay Harbor.

Kenneth Leslie Sullivan passed away at the age of 94 on April 6, 2020 at his home in Schooner Cove, Damariscotta. He leaves his wife Barbara of 73 years.

Margaret Lora McCurda Hilton, R.N., B.A., age 91, of Farmingdale, died April 8, 2020 at The Captain Lewis Residence in Farmingdale.

Warren Ivan Scott, 68, of Waldoboro, passed away April 5, 2020 at the Togas VA Medical Center from a year-long battle with cancer.

Leila M. Barter, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the Gregory Wing, St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor.

Edward Walther was born in New York City to two amazing parents, Thomas and Ann Rose O’Rourke Walther. He had a fantastic urban childhood playing with his sister, brother, and many cousins on the building’s rooftop tar beach.

Joan B. Ladner, 82, of Jefferson, passed away on March 31, 2020 at Avita of Stroudwater in Westbrook, from the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.

Although it is probably frowned upon to speak of actually dying in an obituary, it is important here. The art of dying well is not a topic that you hear a lot about these days, but it was something that Dorothy understood. On April 2, 2020, Dorothy Arlene Sibley passed away in peace, at her own home, in her own bed, surrounded by family. Just as planned.

Hilary A. Murray, 77 of Bristol, and longtime resident of Needham and West Bridgewater, Mass., passed away peacefully at her home on the afternoon of April 4, 2020. 

Malcolm Rodney “Mickey” Jones, of Wiscasset, passed away peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough on Sunday, April 5, 2020, after several months of battling Lewy Body Dementia.

Syvilla Ada Wyman Sukeforth, 83, passed to her heavenly home on April 2, 2020 with family by her side.

Barbara Lusk Abrahamson died peacefully on April 1, 2020 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born in Jamestown, N.D., she was one of four sisters. 

John A. Janell, 82, of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of April 2, 2020 with family present. He died just three months after the passing of his loving wife Jean, and three days before their 62nd wedding anniversary.
