William “Bill” T. Cost Jr., 80, passed away Dec. 18, 2020. He was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Holden, Mass., the son of Barbara Cost Cowan (husband, George) and William Cost Sr. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by first wife, Dorothy B. Cost of Edgecomb; and sons, Richard R. Cost and David A. Cost.

Eleanor Ricker Bickford O’Donnell died peacefully on Dec. 27, 2020 at the age of 90 at her latest residence, The Lincoln Home in Newcastle.

William A. Rice, 97, of Damariscotta, passed away on Dec. 22, 2020. Born in South Bristol on May 16, 1923, he was the son of Maude (Robinson) and Parker Rice.

Margaret Avis Kallberg Anderson was born on Dec. 13, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minn. and passed away Dec. 21, 2020, in Damariscotta. She was the younger daughter of her parents, Edna Ziebarth and Clarence Kallberg.

Zachary Michael Winpenny, aka Zak, Winny, and Chicken Nugget, left this world too soon on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was only 17.

Constance Miltimore (Blanchard) Best, 88, of Augusta, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020 at home with her family by her side, following a short illness.

Mark Wyman Biscoe Sr., 84, passed away peacefully Dec. 19, 2020 surrounded by those who loved him most at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

My father, David Whitney, passed away Dec. 14, 2020 at the age of 83.

On Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, Paul Huss died peacefully at home in Blue Hill at the age of 79.

Judy Beck passed into the presence of her Lord Jesus, where there is “fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore (Psalms 16:11),” peacefully at home on Dec. 17, 2020. She was 81.

Hugh F. Hall died at home in Stamford, Conn. on Dec. 8, 2020. Born March 31, 1967 in New Haven, Conn., the youngest of three sons of Diana L. and David D. Hall, within three months after his birth he was sleeping in a wicker basket under an apple tree at his parents’ summer home in Pemaquid Beach, the start of his lifelong love of Maine and its coastal waters.

Dr. Bernard Slosberg (“Bern”), 79, of Silver Spring, Md., loving husband of Mary Chor, died of complications from COVID-19 on Dec. 12, 2020.
