David Owen Van Strien, 103, died on Nov. 22, 2020 at the Sussman House in Rockland. He was born on June 24, 1917 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to Abraham and Esther Van Strien. Grand Rapids is where he grew up and is where he met and married Eva Grice, his adored wife of 71 years.

Harold C. “Junior” Ralph Jr., 86, of Waldoboro, passed away on Nov. 27, 2020 at Quarry Hill in Camden. He was born on Feb. 13, 1934 to Harold C. and Maude (Burns) Ralph. Junior was the youngest of four siblings.

Paul Hazeltine Hanly Jr. passed away peacefully on Nov. 23, 2020 at Holbrook at Piper Shores in Scarborough. He was 95 years old and is survived by his wife of 70 years, Janice (Hamilton) Hanly.

William B. Gould, 87, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020.

Lorraine Ida (Barbeau) Morong died on Nov. 18, 2020, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H., after a period of failing health.

Marlene Kay Long, age 76, of Iron River, Mich., formerly of Bremen, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020. She was home and surrounded by her loving family who were blessed to hold her in their arms as she passed from this world into the loving arms of family and friends in the next.

Frederick B. O’Brien, 86, of Effingham, Ill., formerly of Maine, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, Ill., surrounded by his loving family.

Linda Pierce-Morin passed away on Nov. 22, 2020, at the Sussman House in Rockport. Her recent cancer diagnosis had come as a surprise to her and those closest to her. However, in typical Linda fashion, she accepted her diagnosis stoically and with a sardonic sense of humor.

Lillian E. Poole, 89, of South Bristol, passed away quietly on the morning of Nov. 11, 2020 at her home looking out over John’s Bay after a long struggle with dementia. She was born in Bristol Sept. 12, 1931 to Beatrice and Oscar Russell. She attended both grammar and high school in Bristol.

Pauline (Fallon) Jettinghoff, 82, died peacefully on Oct. 28, 2020.

Geraldine Estella Hannan Winchenbach, 89, of Waldoboro, passed away at her home on Nov. 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Arthur Howard Young, born Aug. 2, 1939, died peacefully in his sleep July 24, 2020. But that is just the end of his story.

Olive M. Snow passed away during the afternoon of Nov. 17, 2020 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta surrounded by her children. Born in Brownville Junction on June 24, 1935, she was the daughter of Daniel Manzer and Lila (Craig) Manzer and the youngest of three children.
