She later moved to Waldoboro after marrying her husband, Bernard Benner, on Nov. 8, 1957, just as he returned from the service.

Donald “Don” Sprague, of Wiscasset, passed away on May 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Don was a gentle man, well liked and known for his kindness and easy smile, as well as for his enterprising nature. He was always developing inventions to solve everyday problems. He was an avid ham radio enthusiast, and he loved to travel. He loved computers and everything to do with technology and taught himself programming in the early days of PCs and Macs. He loved music (especially polka music), politics, family, food, and boating.

Mary Jane Buchan, 84, passed away on May 27, 2025 in the home she loved in Nobleboro. She was born Oct. 8, 1940, the daughter of John Joseph Mulligan and Marion Harris Mulligan. Mary Jane grew up in Damariscotta Mills with her sister Sally, attending Longfellow Grammar School and graduating from Lincoln Academy class of ‘58. She worked for a time in Florida and Wyoming and later worked for the United States Postal Service. She was a mail carrier in Newcastle for 30 years before retiring.

Robert “Bobby” Edward Grady Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025 at the Togus VA Hospital in Augusta. Born on Nov. 30, 1946 to Robert E. and Joyce (Banks) Grady, Bobby spent his formative years in Jefferson, attending local schools and graduating from Lincoln Academy. He then spent the rest of his life living between Jefferson and Whitefield.
