Miriam Katherine Buckley, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. Born on Dec. 30, 1936 in Lawrence, Mass. to Arthur X. and Katherine C. Forrest, she attended Merrimack College, where she met her beloved husband, Daniel G. Buckley.

Sandra Griffin, age 85, a widely recognized New England painter and sketch artist, passed away peacefully the night of June 2, 2025, attended by her loving family and the superb care of the staff of Avita of Brunswick. She was born in Beverly, Mass. on Sept. 7, 1939, the first daughter of Reginald R. and Doris Clain Hersey.

Robert E. Springhorn, of Westport Island, died March 5, 2025 after being hospitalized for pneumonia. He was 90.

Shirley Ellen Benner, 89, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully at her home on June 2, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on Feb. 27, 1936 in Friendship to Willie and Julie (Winchenbach) Wotton, Shirley grew up in her hometown, where she spent her formative years. She later moved to Waldoboro after marrying her husband, Bernard Benner, on Nov. 8, 1957, just as he returned from the service.

Robert Gary Marcus, 63, of Wiscasset, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on June 3, 2025 from medical complications. Born in Providence, R.I., he was the son of Sidney and Eleanor Marcus.

Kirk Bowman, of Clinton, passed away at home on Friday, May 23, 2025. He was a devoted fan of country music and cherished the companionship of his beloved dogs, Jackie and Frankie.

Duane Uriah Martin, 51, of Provo, Utah, passed away peacefully in his sleep, in the morning hours of May 19, 2025.

Jeanette M. Green, of Wiscasset, 96, passed on April 20, 2025.

Richard F. Eason, of Ocala, Fla. and Nobleboro, formerly of Malden, Mass., died May 30, 2025. Born in Woburn, Mass. 74 years ago, Richard passed away suddenly at his very favorite place.

Allan R. Benner, 95, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at Windward Gardens in Camden. Born on March 27, 1930 to Ralph and Ethel (Creamer) Benner in Waldoboro, Allan spent his life rooted in the community he loved.

Donald “Don” Sprague, of Wiscasset, passed away on May 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Don was a gentle man, well liked and known for his kindness and easy smile, as well as for his enterprising nature. He was always developing inventions to solve everyday problems. He was an avid ham radio enthusiast, and he loved to travel. He loved computers and everything to do with technology and taught himself programming in the early days of PCs and Macs. He loved music (especially polka music), politics, family, food, and boating.

Mary Jane Buchan, 84, passed away on May 27, 2025 in the home she loved in Nobleboro. She was born Oct. 8, 1940, the daughter of John Joseph Mulligan and Marion Harris Mulligan. Mary Jane grew up in Damariscotta Mills with her sister Sally, attending Longfellow Grammar School and graduating from Lincoln Academy class of ‘58. She worked for a time in Florida and Wyoming and later worked for the United States Postal Service. She was a mail carrier in Newcastle for 30 years before retiring.

Robert “Bobby” Edward Grady Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025 at the Togus VA Hospital in Augusta. Born on Nov. 30, 1946 to Robert E. and Joyce (Banks) Grady, Bobby spent his formative years in Jefferson, attending local schools and graduating from Lincoln Academy. He then spent the rest of his life living between Jefferson and Whitefield.
