Wiscasset Elementary Hydroponic Garden Bears Basil
Fourth grade students at Wiscasset Elementary School recently harvested basil from the hydroponic garden, provided by a Maine Agriculture in the Classroom grant. The students planted the basil when school began in September and have been taking notes in their science journals as they watched the growth occur.
Wiscasset Students Study Archeology on the Sheepscot River
American History and AP United States classes from Wiscasset Middle High School studied the archeological remains of early 1600s English settlements and Fort Anne along the picturesque Sheepscot River in late October.
NCS Joins Pumpkin Run
The annual Pumpkin Run at Lincoln Academy drew 18 students from Nobleboro Central School on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

A South Bristol tradition is the Halloween party. Every year, the eighth graders plan a party for the school. It will take place in the South Bristol School gym on Friday, Oct. 25.
Open House at Southport Central School
Students, staff and families gathered at Southport Central School for the school’s annual open house Sept. 26. Students had the opportunity to share with their family members about the work they’ve undertaken thus far this year, while taking a glimpse into what lies ahead.
