Randy Prock passed away early Feb. 3, 2025 with his wife, Cindy; sister, Wendy; and son, Danny by his bedside at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where he had spent the final 13 days of his life. Since his Oct. 8, 2024 brain cancer diagnosis (glioblastoma), Randy was hospitalized four times, endured four surgeries, received 30 radiation treatments, and 46 days of chemotherapy. Clearly, Randy loved life because he endured it without complaints or negativity; instead he persevered with infinite strength and love for his wife and family. Faith, family, and friends inspired his courageous resolve.

Lynda Susan Bernacki was a woman of immense depth – an artist, a scholar, a healer, and a fierce advocate for those in need. Born in Manhattan, N.Y. in 1949 to Frank and Walda Bernacki, she embraced life with a boundless curiosity and a generous heart. Her journey took her across the country and around the world, leaving behind a legacy of artistry, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others.

Charles H. Frey Sr., 84, of Newcastle, passed away on Feb. 7, 2025. He was born on Feb. 12, 1940, to parents Charles and Nellie Frey, of South Bristol. He grew up in South Bristol, graduating from South Bristol School in 1958. During high school, he played basketball, baseball, and led his senior class as valedictorian and soon enlisted (even though he couldn’t swim or float) in the U.S. Navy. Following 22 years in the Navy, he retired in 1981 attaining the rank of master chief petty officer. He immediately paired with Logistic Services International for 20-plus years. Charlie was a dedicated Mason in lodge No. 267 of Orange Park, Fla. for 31 years. He was a past worshipful master and longtime secretary at the lodge.

There will be a celebration of life event for Cynthia Allen on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at Lakehurst in Damariscotta. Friends, students, and family members are all welcome to attend. Refreshments will be provided, please bring what you would like to drink.

Carole Ellen Spritzler, 78, of Damariscotta, passed away on the afternoon of Jan. 22, 2025 at the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta. Born on Dec. 3, 1946, she was the daughter of Helen and Harry Spritzler, of Bethlehem, Pa.

Jeffrey T. Norton, 75, of Bremen, died on Feb. 5, 2025, departing this life in response to the call from his savior, Jesus Christ, with whom he now resides for eternity. He was born to John and Caroline (Hemingway) Norton and was the brother of John, Paul, and Ellen.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jesse Webster Kampegaard, who left us too soon at his home on Feb. 1, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on Sept. 9, 1970 in Webster, Mass., he was the beloved son of Denise S. Morro and Web Patrick.

Mary Jane Field, 81, passed away on Feb. 3, 2025, at The Lincoln Home in Newcastle, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on May 28, 1943, in Allentown, Pa., to Peter A. Latch and Rose P. (Kavran) Latch.

Joanne M. Oberuch, 69, of Edgecomb, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Joanne was born in Elizabeth, N.J. and raised in Linden, N.J. She moved to Boothbay Harbor with her husband to be, Patrick, on May 25, 1979, at 3 p.m. where they carved out their life together.

Abbie Ann Roberts, 94, of Nobleboro, passed away on Feb. 2, 2025. She was born in Waltham, Mass. on Jan. 15, 1931, to Robert and Clarissa Henry.

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Carol Nadine Busler, 83, passed away in the early morning of Jan. 26, 2025 with her family by her side.

Martin Lewis Osier, 62, of Bremen, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 13, 2025. He was born on June 17, 1962, to parents David L. Osier and the late Norma Osier, of Bremen. Martin grew up in Bremen, graduating from Medomak Valley High School in 1980.
