Tops’l Farm and the Waldo Theatre are partnering this summer to offer three “Films at the Farm” events. The films include “The Princess Bride” scheduled for July 2 and 3, “Napoleon Dynamite” on July 30 and 31, and “Hidden Figures” on August 6 and 7, as a fundraiser for Black Lives Matter. These outdoor, picnic-blanket “drive-in” events will be held at Tops’l Farm at 365 Bremen Road.

John Day, 83, of Jefferson, breathed his last breath holding the hand of his much-loved wife, Ellie, on June 24, 2020. He was a wonderfully thoughtful and caring man, who, although not a religious one, was devoted to the belief of living his life based on humility, integrity, and kindness. His quiet demeanor was charged with a wicked sense of humor which made him such fun to be around.

Lincolnhealth Offers Free CNA Class, Applications Due July 13
LincolnHealth is accepting applications for the summer-fall Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class until July 13. The ten-week training begins Aug. 11 and runs until Oct. 15. The class is offered at no cost to the student, and accepted students can apply to “to earn while they learn” through LincolnHealth’s apprenticeship program.
