Kenneth P. Chaney, 102, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the Maine Veterans’ Homes in Augusta, where he had been cared for since September 2016. Born on Nov. 15, 1919, in Bath, he spent a good deal of his time at his Grandfather Chaney’s farm on Golden Ridge Road in Alna.

You may have guessed how deeply I love spring by how much I have been talking about it recently. On a recent weekend walk, I noticed daffodils blooming bright yellow and pussy willows and trees starting to bud. Multiple Departments Respond to Somerville Blaze
A fire broke out at 776 Somerville Road at approximately 2:44 p.m. Thursday, April 21. One resident was at the home when the fire started and was able to escape unharmed. No injuries were reported.
