Susan Jane Bailey, 54, of Wilkesboro, N.C., passed away at her home on June 30, 2021, after a battle with cancer. Born on Sept. 21, 1966 in Damariscotta, she was the daughter of Fernald and Carolyn Bailey, of Jefferson.

Shirley Ingraham Woodcock, 91, died July 4, 2021 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Shirley was born on Oct. 14, 1929 in Lowell, Mass. Shirley graduated from Houlton High School. Shirley was a longtime resident of Dutch Neck in Waldoboro.

Carol V. Ference, 86, of Bremen, died Friday afternoon, July 2, 2021 at her home in Bremen. She was born May 1, 1935 in Groveland, Mass., a daughter of the late William Andrew and Patricia (Tracy) Mansfield.

On July 3, 2021, Arthur Lee Gillespie lost his ongoing dispute with the Marlboro Man. He left peacefully from his home in Dresden, with his grandkids playing in the background, his faithful dog Bleu lying by his side, and surrounded by many of those who loved him. Lee died well.

Malcolm “Mack” Clarence Simmons, 74, of Nobleboro, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Roswell Davis, 82 of Meriden, Conn., died Saturday evening, July 3, 2021 at the family’s summer home in Alna.

Glenwood Lee West, 77, of Wiscasset, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, following a courageous battle with AL amyloidosis.

Philip H. Hansen III, 79, died Friday, June 25, 2021 at The Landing at Saco Bay, a memory care facility in Saco where he had resided since 2017. A graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick and Union Theological Seminary in New York City, Phil was a revered secondary school educator who earned an international reputation as a skilled debate and Model U.N. coach.

Nuel William Crawford, of Round Pond, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 13, 2021 with family members by his side.
