William “Bill” Alton Ames Sr., 77, of Jefferson, passed away on the evening of Jan. 6, 2020 in Augusta, as the result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.

George B. Shultz Jr., age 85, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving daughter, Lori D. Hayes on Jan. 7, 2020.

On Dec. 29, 2019, a beautiful soul passed from this life too soon. Corrinna Farrell, 48, of Friendship, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center with loved ones by her side after a brief illness.

Melissa Wadley McEntire, a practicing Buddhist, transitioned from this life to the next on Jan. 4, 2020 at the Sussman Hospice House in Rockport, holding the hand of her daughter, Liza Keene. 

Nancy M. Banfield, 88, of Edgecomb, passed away on Jan. 2, 2020.

James H. Phillips, 84, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Jan. 1, 2020 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born on June 22, 1935 in New York, he was the son of Nicholas Phillips and Constance Jones.

After a rewarding life filled with music, family, and love of the water, interrupted by bouts with cancer for 20 years, Jean passed away at home on the evening of Jan. 4, 2020. She was born in Leominster, Mass. on Feb. 3, 1937 to H. Earl and Belle (Dunwoody) Nutter.

Cora May Sanborn Cooper, 94, formerly of New Harbor, was welcomed through the gates of heaven on the afternoon of Dec. 19, 2019 at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor.

Roy (Hans) Molt, 59, passed away from cancer on Dec. 30, 2019.

Robert Stanley Benner, 87, of Steep Falls, passed away Dec. 30, 2019 after a short illness.

Arrolyn Gilbert, 93, of New Harbor, passed away peacefully on the morning of Dec. 30, 2019 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born on April 14, 1926 in South Bristol, she was the daughter of Walter and Marian Thompson.

Richard “Dick” Hodgdon Jr., 90, of Trevett, passed away at his home on Dec. 27, 2019 after a brief illness, his loving family at his side.
